Join us for an exciting truffle-hunting adventure on the Karst plateau.
Chef Luka Košir and the Mati Truffle team will guide us through the enchanting Karst forests, providing extensive knowledge and decadent refreshments.
Mati Truffle specializes in organizing unique truffle hunts that offer an immersive participant experience, showcasing the highest quality truffles and providing guidance on cultivating these underground gems. Our shared values of caring for and loving nature have led us to collaborate with this passionate team.
What can you expect from this experience?
In the morning, we will gather in Grandma's garden, where we'll enjoy a glass of something special while learning about the significance of homegrown vegetables and sustainable gardening practices. We will gather herbs and vegetables, discuss our hunting tactics, and recharge with a homemade snack.
Equipped with new knowledge and accompanied by two truffle-sniffing dogs, we will venture into the forest to begin our hunt. For those curious, there will be an opportunity to lead the dogs and try your hand at truffle hunting! Along the way, our guides will educate us about different types of truffles, allowing us to taste and explore new flavours and aromas.
The hunt will culminate at a third location, where Luka will welcome us with snacks and a 3-course menu featuring various types of truffles, homemade pickles and ferments, carefully selected wines and other beverages.
